How to Achieve "Low-Carbon and Intelligent" Operation of Concrete Batching Plants
2026-01-26 14:16:44

With the introduction of the national dual-carbon goals, supporting the country in achieving carbon neutrality and peak carbon dioxide emissions has become an inescapable historical mission for the entire industry. Meanwhile, "green, environmental protection and intelligence" has emerged as the development direction for enterprises and industries in the new era. In response, various regions have issued successive documents to regulate the green production of concrete enterprises, set time limits for the environmental transformation and upgrading of existing batching plants, and establish environmental design access thresholds for new ones. The concrete industry has thus stepped into a new era of green, eco-friendly and sustainable development. The concept of environment-coordinated development featuring "green low-carbon", "energy conservation and emission reduction" and "sustainable development" has naturally become the starting point for the green and environmental transformation of traditional batching plants and the construction of new green and eco-friendly concrete batching plants.

How can concrete batching plants meet the increasingly stringent environmental requirements and change the inherent impression of excessive dust and uncontrolled wastewater discharge? In view of the environmental needs and actual conditions of batching plants, efforts should be focused on the following key aspects:

01 Intelligent Feeding System

In a traditional concrete batching plant, a single production line requires at least two loaders with four drivers working in shifts to supply materials. The fully automatic feeding system enables trucks to unload materials directly into the feeding hopper, with belt conveyors and distributors transporting materials to the corresponding silos and completing the batching process automatically. This system completely saves labor and loader costs, eliminates fuel consumption and noise from loader operation, and avoids dust pollution during batching, meeting the operational environmental requirements of environmental protection, high efficiency and stability.

02 Dust Removal Measures

Dust and fugitive dust control is a crucial technical indicator for the environmental performance of batching equipment. Uncontrolled dust directly causes air pollution. Most conventional batching plants use loaders for feeding, leading to uncontrollable dust and noise during the process. Research has found that adopting belt conveyors for feeding in large stockyards reduces noise and effectively controls dust, complying with the requirements for eco-friendly batching plants.

Secondly, strict control is implemented over dust emission points during production. High-performance pulse dust removal systems are installed at all key points, from the connections of the ground silo belt conveyor with horizontal and inclined belt conveyors to the transition hopper of the main building, to prevent fugitive dust. Silo pulse dust collectors effectively address dust emission from silos. Fully enclosed stockyards are equipped with aggregate spray dust removal systems inside, which minimize dust dispersion to the greatest extent.

03 Full Enclosure of Stockyards

Stockyards are the primary source of dust in concrete batching plants. Full enclosure of stockyards completely isolates dust and prevents its spread to the surrounding environment. Meanwhile, atomizing spray systems are configured in stockyards, which atomize purified and filtered water under high pressure to effectively adsorb suspended dust in the air during movement, thereby suppressing dust diffusion.

04 Twin-Screw Mixing Host

The twin-screw mixing host independently developed by Tait Road Construction Machinery adopts continuous mixing blades. The spiral blades agitate materials continuously, accelerating the overall circulation of the mixture inside the mixing host and producing a strong shearing effect on concrete. This ensures that concrete achieves better homogeneity in a shorter mixing time, with high production efficiency. For the production and operation of batching plants, improved production efficiency translates to higher capacity, creating more profits for the plant.

05 Wet Concrete Recycling

"Zero discharge" is also an important symbol of a "green" batching plant. Fully automatic waste wet concrete recycling equipment can completely decompose and recycle all waste residue and wastewater generated by the batching plant every day. The recycled sand, gravel and slurry water are reused in concrete production to realize circular utilization, which saves a large amount of raw materials and minimizes the exploitation of natural resources.

06 Intelligent Control System for Commercial Concrete

Under the comprehensive influence of the "carbon neutrality" strategy, the commercial concrete industry is gradually shifting from the traditional production model to a new stage of intelligence and informatization. This means that the intelligent control and management system for commercial concrete is an inevitable path for the industry's upgrading, development, cost reduction and efficiency improvement.
